Who I am is really not that important. I am the typical American…a wife, friend, aunt and daughter. I grew up in a rural area in the Midwest and now reside in the greater Atlanta area. After attending the Halftime Institute, I realized that a life without significance was not a life that I wanted to lead. The Halftime® experience and the journey to get to this point is what I wish to share with you on these pages in the coming days, months and years, in real-time as if you’re watching some of God’s work unfold before your eyes and mine.
A half-timer is someone who is ready to transform their life from its current state into a life of significance. At this half-time cross road, I am ready to begin the second half of my life’s journey living on purpose. God is calling me to give my life to His work and put that mission above and beyond my own wants and desires. God is also calling me to share this journey with the world and let the chips fall where they may. I don’t have an expectation from this blog – perhaps no one will ever read these pages but that is no concern of mine. I simply obey the calling and deliver on the expectation that God has of me.
I’m not selling anything here, I’m just a simple person who has lead a simple life but God has stepped in and offered extraordinary opportunities that feed my purpose. I’ve seen what God can do when we step back and let Him in. He has already exceeded my own expectations and only through Him would I be willing and ready for the second half journey of my lifetime. God is prompting me to share this wisdom and guidance with the world so I promise to be open, honest and direct about my journey…my joys, fears, and challenges as I choose God’s path over my own. Please comment or write to me – I don’t claim or pretend to have all of the answers I am just here to humbly share and listen.
Blessings,
~ Teresa D.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

I am overwhelmed, and so very proud and excited for you.
As you well know you have always had my love and encouragment (You still do and always will.
Hi Teresa,
I have seen a couple of your comments and ended up on your blog. Tom Allen is my first cousin. My husband and I moved to Texas from the pretense of Southern California / Orange County two years ago entering into a life of “seperation and sanctification” unto God. I guess you might call that our “second half” transition out of the Americanized Christianity of bless me / don’t judge me to purity, humility, and selflessness.
I really enjoyed your blog and will be back!
God bless,
Annette
Hi Annette,
Thank you for writing and sharing your kind words. We spent a week in Rwanda with Tom and the Bridge2Rwanda team and we had the time of our lives in many ways. My husband and I adore Tom and we were greatly blessed by spending time with him. I visited your blog too and look forward to reading your posts!
God Bless you,
Teresa
